Fix your eyes with LASIK

LASIK or Laser in-Situ Keratomileusis, is a type of surgical procedure that can improve eye problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and other eye disorders in a short time. LASIK arise from the development of various refractive surgery techniques. Essentially, there are two stages of the process of LASIK. First, make a small thin opening in the cornea, and the second is to redesign the cornea by removing corneal tissue using a laser, then re-closed and taped up the healing process is complete. The technology for LASIK was invented in 1980, which found that ultraviolet laser can be precisely etched a network without damaging the surrounding tissue. Two years later, the potential and functionality of this laser in the surgical field was announced.

How LASIK Work?
Cornea plays an important role in LASIK, because almost all of eyes refractive power is there. Therefore, modify the shape of the cornea also means changing the status of refraction of the eye. This is the basic principle behind the LASIK surgery and other refratif surgery on the cornea.

To treat nearsightedness (myopia), the center of the cornea flattened to reduce the ability of corneal refraction. To treat farsightedness (hyperopia) the cornea sharpened to enhance the ability of refraction. To cure eye disorders like astigmatism, the curve of the cornea with a distance of 90 degrees from its axis was made equal and balanced.
